Service Agreement

    Last updated: January 24, 2026

    1. Agreement Overview

This Service Agreement ("Agreement") is a legally binding contract between you ("you", "User") and Snip ("Snip", "we", "us") governing your access to and use of the Snip platform, including the student and business dashboards, project workflows, and any related services (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

    2. Roles on Snip

The Service is designed to facilitate collaboration between:

    • Businesses that post project-based "Snips" and review applicants.
    • Students who browse Snips, apply, and complete project work.

Snip is a platform provider and does not directly supervise, direct, or control project performance between users.

    3. Accounts and Eligibility

    • Accurate information: You agree to provide accurate, current information and to maintain it.
    • Security: You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping account credentials secure.
    • Authorized use: If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to this Agreement.

    4. Snips, Applications, and Acceptance

Businesses may post Snips and review applications submitted by students. Businesses are responsible for:

    • Providing clear and accurate project descriptions, requirements, and expectations.
    • Complying with applicable laws regarding recruiting, contracting, and payments.
    • Making decisions regarding applicant status (e.g., applied, interview, offer/accepted, rejected).

Students are responsible for representing their skills and experience accurately and for completing work in a professional manner.

    5. Payments, Escrow, and Payouts

Where the Service supports paid Snips, Businesses may fund Snips using supported payment processors. Fees, charges, and any platform fees may apply as displayed at the time of checkout.

    • Escrow concept: Snip may reflect an "escrow" holding amount associated with paid Snips. This reflects amounts intended to be released upon completion and payout.
    • Payout authorization: By initiating a payout action (e.g., "Payout Snip"), the Business represents that the work is satisfactory and authorizes release of funds.
    • Finality: Payout actions may be irreversible and may close a Snip.

Snip does not guarantee any particular outcomes and is not responsible for disputes between users.

    6. Prohibited Conduct

    You agree not to:

    • Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
    • Misrepresent identity, affiliation, or project details.
    • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users’ accounts.
    • Upload malicious code or interfere with platform functionality.
    • Harass, abuse, or discriminate against other users.

    7. Intellectual Property

Snip retains all rights, title, and interest in and to the Service, including software, interfaces, branding, and design. Users retain rights to their own content, subject to any licenses granted to Snip as needed to operate and improve the Service.

    8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Snip disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Snip does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

    9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Snip shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

    10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated this Agreement or if required by law. You may stop using the Service at any time.

    11. Privacy and Terms

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
